Phil Shawe
President and CEO, TransPerfect
Phil Shawe is the co-founder of one of the world's leading B-to-B providers of language and business services, TransPerfect Global, and the President and CEO of Translations.com. From 1992 until 1999, Shawe co-managed the day-to-day operations of TransPerfect with his business partner, Elizabeth Elting, to help orchestrate the company's growth from a single office start-up to an industry leader operating from offices in over 90 cities on five continents. Prior to founding TransPerfect, Shawe was a Financial Analyst at Chemical Bank and a Global Custody Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Shawe holds a MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business and a BS from the University of Florida, where he triple majored in Finance, Marketing, and Risk Management.
Mark Hagerty
Chief Technology Officer
Prior to joining TransPerfect in 2003, Mark Hagerty was the Director of Software Development at eTranslate, directing the development of the industry-leading GMS technology that was eventually acquired by Translations.com. Prior to that, Hagerty worked for eight years as a senior software engineer and manager at Adobe Systems, Inc. Hagerty was in charge of merging the internal customer databases and customer support systems when Adobe acquired Aldus in 1994. He was also one of the developers of the Adobe Type-On-Call product and a key member of the teams that implemented Peoplesoft and SAP internally. Hagerty has 20 years of software development experience and is responsible for the technology vision and solutions that make TransPerfect an industry leader. Hagerty holds a BS in Mathematics and Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
Tom Lallis
Product Manager
Tom Lallis joined TransPerfect Interactive in early 2008 and was the Director of Client Services for TransPerfect Interactive from 2009 until his promotion to Product Manager in 2014. As the head of the client services division, Lallis was responsible for overseeing a global network of support centers and support representatives that provide 24/7/365 technical support for the TransPerfect Interactive application. As Product Manager, Lallis will lead all setup and implementation efforts for large scale clients/strategic alliances for TransPerfect Interactive. Lallis holds a BA in Psychology and Computer Applications from the University of Notre Dame.
Raja Mani
Vice President of Engineering
Raja Mani joined TransPerfect Interactive division in September 2011 as Director of Engineering. Raja has been promoted to Vice President of Engineering in May 2017. Raja has over 2 decades of experience designing, developing and delivering Console, Desktop and Web applications using different technologies and programming languages. As the head of the development division, Raja is responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing and DevOps of TransCEND. Raja is a very agile, enthusiastic and experienced technical leader who is very hands on when it comes to using the right process and technologies to solve complex business problems. Raja never hesitates to roll up his sleeves to solve customer issues and always looking to improve the processes and quality of TransCEND by actively listening to the feedback from Sales, CSRs and customers. He is very specialized in Microsoft.NET, Web technologies and have over thirteen years of experience in running Engineering and IT teams both onshore and offshore. Raja holds a BS degree in Computer Science from NIT, Trichy and is a certified SCRUM Master and MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solution Developer) in .NET.
